Dear mother,
I have been good at school. I often think of you when I go to bed because we always go for a walk before go to bed at home. So I miss you everyday. Do you miss me? Why don’t you call me? I’ve got a lot of things to tell you. One of the things is about foreign teacher’s daughter. Her name’s Skyler. She lives in Canada. She comes to our class to learn Chinese and English with me in my class. This afternoon, when it was art and craft class, our class were cleaning the gymnasium. And she did it with us too. So I usually talk to her when she doesn’t know what to do? But when the class is over, I always haven’t got enough time to talk to her. And I usually can’t find her. So we don’t have time to introduce to each other. But it is the first time that I have a foreign student. So I’m very happy! Mum, you often tell me, “If you are happy, I’ll be happy, too.” So you have to be happy, because I’m happy! I like you when you are happy!

今年我們組制訂的英語學(xué)科活動(dòng)為：“小學(xué)生英語作文大賽”，主要是五、六年級(jí)的學(xué)生參賽。
開學(xué)初，我在我們組訂的英語報(bào)紙上看到了“小學(xué)生英語作文大賽”的消息，免報(bào)名費(fèi)，但是，又仔細(xì)一讀，每個(gè)參賽選手要訂閱全年的報(bào)紙，大約三十多元，這等于是有報(bào)名費(fèi)的。在教研會(huì)上討論時(shí)，大家認(rèn)為訂閱報(bào)紙錢數(shù)過多，訂閱的報(bào)紙也沒有時(shí)間組織學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)，不如在五、六年級(jí)組織比賽作文，不收?qǐng)?bào)名費(fèi)，成為我們組的學(xué)科活動(dòng)，這一共識(shí)達(dá)成之后，我們五、六年級(jí)的四位英語教師就把任務(wù)布置下去了：題目自擬，題材不限，字?jǐn)?shù)達(dá)50個(gè)單詞以上，語言流暢，書寫美觀。
我們給學(xué)生的寫作時(shí)間是一個(gè)月。
十一月，我們的活動(dòng)正式開展。經(jīng)過統(tǒng)計(jì)，此次作文比賽共收上來英語文章240余篇，其中五年級(jí)110篇，六年級(jí)130篇。經(jīng)過各位教師的評(píng)選，批改，共評(píng)出一等獎(jiǎng)20人，二等獎(jiǎng)50人，三等獎(jiǎng)80人，鼓勵(lì)參與獎(jiǎng)90人。各獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)已經(jīng)發(fā)了獎(jiǎng)品作為獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)。
本次活動(dòng)的舉行，五、六年級(jí)的學(xué)生參與性強(qiáng)，經(jīng)常有孩子來問老師怎么選題，用什么時(shí)態(tài)來寫，這個(gè)句型這樣寫行不行，這句話中的這個(gè)詞能不能用別的詞來代替。他們寫好以后，還請(qǐng)教師批改，再工工整整的重新謄抄一遍，在寫作文的過程當(dāng)中，他們的詞匯增多了，句型運(yùn)用更靈活了，就連書寫也美觀了，許多學(xué)生有了收獲。
本次活動(dòng)的舉行，體現(xiàn)了小學(xué)英語課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的對(duì)學(xué)生的寫的能力的要求，并且高于新課標(biāo)的要求，對(duì)學(xué)生的寫作能力是個(gè)鍛煉，提高了他們寫作的積極性，促使他們積極主動(dòng)的學(xué)習(xí)，從要我背單詞到我要積極的多背單詞。學(xué)習(xí)態(tài)度發(fā)生了轉(zhuǎn)變。體現(xiàn)了新課標(biāo)的要求。
本次活動(dòng)也有值得注意的地方：
一．學(xué)生的參與面再?gòu)V一些就好了；
二．教師先給范文，再讓學(xué)生摹寫，對(duì)更多的學(xué)生是個(gè)鍛煉；
三．好的英語小作文要收集好，制作出作文集錦，讓學(xué)生互相學(xué)習(xí)；

用介詞短語替代從句，例：
原句：while they were playing tennis， she started an argument that lasted allmorning.
修改后：during tennis she started an argument that lasted all morning.
原句：when you come to the second traffic light， turn right.
修改后：at the second traffic light turn left.
小升初英語寫作技巧之二：
刪除諸如“who is”或“that is”之類的關(guān)系代詞，變從句為短語，例：
句：the novel， which is written in three parts， told a story that took placein the middle ages.
修改后：the three-part novel told a story set in the middle ages.
注：把句中的“three parts”改用形容詞來表達(dá)，節(jié)省了四個(gè)不必要的單詞“which is writtenin”。我們經(jīng)常可以將關(guān)系代詞如“that”去掉，這只會(huì)引起最少的變動(dòng)。學(xué)習(xí)方法
小升初英語寫作技巧之三：
剔除你不需要的單詞，例：
two joint partners will present their views over a long-distance telephonecall.
寫完這樣的句子后，你自己再讀一遍，挑出單詞“joint”和“telephone”，注意刪去不必要的詞。
通常英語寫作有以下幾個(gè)特點(diǎn)：
緊扣教學(xué)大綱對(duì)考生書面表達(dá)的要求；
以有指導(dǎo)的寫作為主（guidedwriting），便于考生在短時(shí)間內(nèi)構(gòu)思成文；
突出試題的交際性，考查考生在特定的情景中運(yùn)用語言的能力；

看圖作文主要考查考生運(yùn)用所學(xué)知識(shí)解決實(shí)際問題的能力。
英語寫作注意兩點(diǎn)
一、先審題，弄清寫作要求審題是寫好作文的前提，也是書面表達(dá)的基礎(chǔ)。如果寫偏了題，語言表達(dá)再好也很難得高分。審題時(shí)要注意兩個(gè)方面：
1.認(rèn)真地看兩遍題目，包括提示，全面了解寫作要求。
2.理清思路，確定體裁、框架結(jié)構(gòu)和內(nèi)容。
二、用英語進(jìn)行思維英語寫作時(shí)必須排除漢語思維的干擾。
從現(xiàn)在起應(yīng)逐漸加大閱讀量和聽的輸入量，將閱讀、聽力訓(xùn)練與書面表達(dá)有機(jī)地結(jié)合起來。經(jīng)常體會(huì)和領(lǐng)悟作者傳遞信息和表達(dá)思想的方式。在話題討論和寫作中經(jīng)常運(yùn)用所學(xué)到的表達(dá)方式就會(huì)有所創(chuàng)造。還要盡量做到“五多”：多看、多聽、多思考、多用心體驗(yàn)和感悟身邊的人和事、多用英語說和寫自己的體驗(yàn)和感受。
