In China, Mid-autumn Day is considered to be a symbol of family reunion. On this day, all the family members gather together at home to celebrate this special occasion. Last year, I could not celebrate the festival with my family because I was in university. However, this special day left a deep impression on me.
I still remember the atmosphere of that evening. All the students who could not go back home assembled in our classroom, having a party to celebrate this traditional festival. We tried our best to show our own enthusiasm. As an ethnic minority, I performed a peacock dance, which received warm applause. After the two-hour party, we went out to the playground and sat together to appreciate the moon because it is a tradition on Mid-autumn Day. We ate moon cakes, played cards, and listened to romantic poems recited by one of our classmates. In that harmonious atmosphere, nobody felt lonely or homesick even though we were far away from our homes.
Thanks to our classmates, I experienced such a colorful and interesting Mid-autumn Day at my university. Thus, I learned to value all the festivals I spent during my university life.
Mid-Autumn Day(中秋節(jié))英語(yǔ)作文17
I think Mid-Autumn Day is an old traditional festival in China. Everybody likes it because its a family get-together. You see it is called"Mid-Autumn Day", so it often comes in September or October. It is on the 15th of the 8th of the lunar month. Now, lets say something about this interesting festival.
Firstly, Id like to say something about the moon. I like it very much because I want to be an astronaut in the future. That day the moon is round, big, just like a beautiful plate hanging on the blue cloth. When I see the moon, I will remember the ancient myths——the godess Chang Er and her little rabbit are playing under the tree which Wu Gang grows. I will also think about Armstrongs first moonwalk. I will also miss the friends in XX island, in Macao and Chinese people who are abroad. I know they are missing us very much, too.
Secondly, I11 say something about the tradition on Mid-Autumn Day. Look!Theres a big tree in a garden of a Chinese fami-ly. All the family members are sitting around a big table under the tree in the open air. They are eating the mooncakes and admiring the full moon in the sky. That is a family reunion dinner. The mooncakes and the moon represent the love from a family. I think this is one of the most valuable things in the world.
Thirdly,it is a very good opportunity to make three wishes on Mid-Autumn Day. My wishes are: the first, I, an astronaut in the future, would like to go to the moon one day, and stay with the sky and stars; the second, I hope every person in the world will stay with family, share love from the family forever; the third, I hope everybodys dream will come true.
That is the Mid-Autumn Day in my mind. I will always re-member: East or West, home is best.

Tonight is the night of the Mid-Autumn festival, when the bright moon is empty and the cold wind is in practice. In order to echo such beautiful scenery, I sat in the courtyard with my father, looking at the stars, and talking to the moon. My father told me a lot of funny stories about his own childhood, and while I was hooked, my dads cell phone rang. It was a happy Mid-Autumn message from the head teachers Chinese teacher. The contents are as follows:
"Your parents: hang moon circle circle of the sky, lotus leaf yuan yuan among water, dream yuan yuan, successful round dance dance, happy yuanyuan will never change, wish yuanyuan feeling infinite: spend Mid-Autumn festival month, round, happy reunion with you two. I wish all the students and their parents a happy Mid-Autumn festival!"
To this, father poetry is full, also sent a text message to the teacher. The contents are as follows:
"The Mid-Autumn moon is round and bright, look really nice hanging in the sky. The stars are unity will hold, unique brilliance according to the river. The rain grace of all things, hard gardener has measurements. Sweat MiaoJian long, plum forceful with the world. I wish the teacher happy holidays!"
My fathers poems are so great that they cant get out of it, so I have a song about the Mid-Autumn festival, which reads as follows:
"The Milky Way for bright stars, the brightest zhongtian her honey haired month. Court diffuse yulan, flesh reunion heart ripples. Tea cake taste the faint, talk about present theory since the exclamation. Although money can trade, where to buy this romantic?"
My father and I talked for a long time, but still feel that we still have a little to do, so we laid a straw mat in the yard and planned to face the stars. It was a pity that my father woke me up at about one o clock in the morning. The sky was already full of dark clouds, and the stars and the moon were gone, and there was a cool breeze blowing from the northwest. In a flash, the electric flash of thunder, we didnt even get the straw mat and the sheet, we were "baptized" by the downpour.

The Mid-Autumn festival is a traditional festival in our country. It originated from the tang dynasty, when the moon was the center of the moon. In the qingming period, it became a "festival of folk custom".
The Mid-Autumn festival is second only to the Spring Festival. The Mid-Autumn festival is the time of the flower and the moon. People thought of the reunion of the world from the moon in the sky. Therefore, the Mid-Autumn festival is called "reunion" in ancient times. People yearn for the round circle. Reunions are ideal for the Chinese people. I like Mid-Autumn festival very much. When it comes to the Mid-Autumn festival, our family will enjoy the moon, moon cakes and watch the Mid-Autumn festival. This year the Mid-Autumn festival, our family reunion together, everybody say smile, but happy. The moon was not as bright as the Mid-Autumn festival. But it was beautiful. The moon sometimes looked like a shy, beautiful maiden, and the wind brother said a few words, and hid behind the clouds, and covered a veil, and looked more delicate and charming. Now and then, like a naughty child, look at us for the holidays! I saw it, and I couldnt help it. Dad heard it and asked, "what are you laughing at?" I said, deliberately and mysteriously, "secrets."
How do you know about the Mid-Autumn festival?
