To keep a healthy weight, it is important to have the right amount of calories for your age. A calorie is a measure of how much energy food gives you. Girls aged between 12-15 should have 1800 calories a day and boys around 2000. Doctors suggest that we should eat lower-fat food instead of fatty food like ice cream, fresh fries and popcorn. Vegetables, fruits and grain foods are good choices for daily meals.
